Under Eng Liang Tan’s guidance, Soho Global Heath has grown from being a family company into one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Southeast Asia.
Eng Liang Tan graduated from University of Bochum, Germany with a major in Nuclear Physics, and from the Business Management School in University of Bradford, United Kingdom. His long career includes experience with ICI Pharmaceutical Division (now Astra Zeneca), Warner Lambert Inc. (now Pfizer Inc.) and Beecham (now GSK).
David recently retired as CEO of Galenica AG and its subsidiary Vifor Pharma Ltd, and joined SFI’s Board following its acquisition of Potter’s Herbals. Prior to this, David has served as CEO of Oxford Glycosciences PLC and as Head of Pharma Business at Bayer AG. In addition, David has served as Chairman and Board member for a number of companies based in the US, Germany, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, UK and Japan. David is also currently Chairman of Verona Pharma PLC, a drug development company listed on the London AIM market.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and German as well as a PhD in comparative Industrial Relations from the University of Surrey, where he is also a visiting Professor at the University of Surrey’s Business School.
Erica Mann is a former Board Member of Bayer AG and the former President of the Consumer Health Division. Erica was the first woman to be appointed to Bayer’s board in the company’s 150 year history. As President of Consumer Health at Bayer AG, Erica directed every aspect of one of the world’s leading global OTC companies. She led the expansion of the business in key emerging markets; oversaw significant acquisitions such as Steigerwald (Germany), Merck Consumer Care (USA), and Dihon Pharmaceutical Group (China).
Erica was the chair of the World Self Medication Industry Association, the global association for the over-the-counter drug industry, and was the first woman to serve in this capacity. She has held executive positions in several industry organisations, including the South African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (PMA) and Medicines Australia, as well as the International Association of Infant Food Manufacturers. Erica has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and is a true global citizen who has lived, worked and breathed the culture of 4 continents. She holds an undergraduate degree in Analytical Chemistry and a Diploma in Marketing Management.
Erica was listed in Fortune’s ‘Most Powerful Women International’ both in 2016 (ranked # 40) and 2017 (ranked # 36). Erica was also selected to participate in Nelson Mandela's successful Trade Mission to the UK in 1996.Erica was born in Vereeniging, South Africa, is an Australian citizen and has two adult sons.
Helen is an experienced non-executive director and audit committee chair for national and internationally listed companies. Industry sectors include food, distribution, mining, technology and human services. Currently, Helen is a director of Bid Corporation, a multinational foodservice business spanning 30 countries. Helen is also a director of Choice, the Australian consumer advocacy group.
Helen brings 30 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant, businesswoman and former KPMG partner advising across a range of industries including pharmaceutical companies as well as clients across a broad range of industry sectors.
Helen is also an executive coach and mentor to decision-makers and emerging leaders in Australia and internationally.
Helen also has a deep interest in supporting children who experience parental incarceration through her role as a Patron of SHINE for Kids.
In 2014 Helen was named as one of the 2014 Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence. Helen holds a Bachelor of Science in European Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Helen recently completed the INSEAD International Directors Program.
Helen is also known for her energy, keen sense of humour and her love of wine!

Robert has successfully managed local and global sales and marketing functions and led a number of international organisations for Organon and Genzyme. In his career that spans over 20 years he developed experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and natural medicines industries.
Robert graduated as medical doctor from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and holds an MBA from the Erasmus University, Netherlands. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

With over 15 years’ experience both locally and internationally, Arvinder oversees SFI’s People Management Strategy; focused on developing the talent and leadership needed to foster innovation and drive sustainable growth. A key area of focus for Arvinder is harnessing SFI’s capabilities and knowledge globally, while ensuring strong local teams to successfully deliver the business strategy and facilitating cultural change.
Arvinder holds a degree in HR Management and a PG Diploma in Business Management.

John has extensive experience in general management, strategic marketing, sales management, business intelligence and consulting experience in the healthcare sector. He has over 20 years’ experience working in leading Global Pharma companies of Roche and Knoll AG and ran his own consultancy for a time. For the last 5 years he has worked at SFI and most recently as the Country Manager of Australia and New Zealand.

António has over 20 years’ experience in international management, strategy and business development, with strong marketing, sales and finance skills in global pharmaceuticals and fast-moving-consumer goods companies. His background also includes leading major market expansion and transformation projects in mature and emerging markets while developing high-performance cross-functional teams, in complex and competitive market environments.
He is passionate about people, entrepreneurship, disruptive innovation, nature and sports.
He is a Harvard Business School alumnus, USA (GMP’14) and a Cardiff Business School graduated, UK (MBA’94).
Gian Luca Ligas

Gian Luca has an extensive marketing, commercial and scientific experience both locally and globally, managing Brands across different therapeutical areas in the Healthcare sector.
Prior to joining SFI in 2014, Gian Luca was working for Abbott where he held different Brand, Marketing and Commercial effectiveness management positions.
Gian Luca has graduated from the University of Turin and holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Additionally he holds an MBA and several certificates in Marketing & Management from different International Business Schools (e.g. IESE in Barcelona, MCE in Bruxelles, Bocconi in Milan).

Eric joined SFI-USA in Feb of 2016 as Vice President of Operations where he lead the design, construction and startup of our 75,000 square foot cGMP manufacturing facility in Reno, Nevada. Eric has enjoyed a 25 year career in the nutritional supplements industry where he has lead Operations for US based organizations, operating globally, most notably Metagenics. Over the span of his career, Eric has developed balanced expertise in all facets of the industry, with particular emphasis in Operations. Eric has also lead merger and acquisition activities of brands and legal entities, and has commissioned three green field GMP manufacturing facilities.
