SFI HEALTH USA launches first ever accredited education grant to improve outcomes for children with ADHD
SFI Health USA launched a premier education grant to support the development of accredited professional education for conventional medicine practitioners.
The initiative supplements and extends access to up-to-date evidence-based education related to optimal nutritional strategies for children and adolescents with ADHD and aims to improve care and outcomes through sharing of new findings and application to clinical practice.
Developed in collaboration with Haymarket Medical Education, a one-hour Expert Perspective Webinar was hosted in which three multidisciplinary experts presented:
- New data on ADHD, including genetic variations, the resulting clinical presentation and implications for treatment.
- Explained the most recent data on the safety and efficacy of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid supplementation (specifically DHA, EPA and GLA) for the management of ADHD in children and adolescents.
- Discussed the application of these data to clinical practice as part of comprehensive treatment plans.
“This initiative aligns with SFI Health’s specialty of supporting cognitive health and our core value of progressing the quality of human life”, said SFI Health’s Medical Science Liaison Tricia Griffin RDN.
The education initiative is kicking off on a strong note: within two months after launching, over 3,647 page-view learners and 1,142 test takers have availed themselves of the free training programme.
The one-hour programme is available for the next year on myCME.com and will be promoted by Psychiatry Advisor and Haymarket Medical Network.
